Convergence of industrial action - the coming together of any level of trade unions.
Synergy - Similar to convergence but used to describe how companies can pool their resources and exploit products in different markets.
Conglomerate - A corporation consisting of several companies in different businesses
Globalisation - growth to a global or worldwide scale
Analogue music – before CD’s which are broken up into bits, analogue music isn’t broken and is just one chunk.
Digitalisation – made up of chunks/units rather than just one.
Vertical integration - The combination in one company of two or more stages of production normally operated by separate companies
Horizontal integration - absorption into a single firm of several firms involved in the same level of production and sharing resources at that level.
